Join NYU for a free screening of the Winner of the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, Fruitvale Station. The movie chronicles the tragic story of Oscar Grant. At only 22-years old, he was killed at the Fruitvale subway station by BART officers on New Year’s Day in 2008. Oscar’s story shook the entire nation to its core and launched a discussion on police brutality and race. Join for a special screening of this powerful film and a thoughtful panel discussion. This event is a part of the NYU MLK Week of events.
