Art History Happy Hour

When: Thursday, January 28, 2016
Time: 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Where: Brooklyn Museum
200 Eastern Parkway
Eastern Parkway/Brooklyn Museum
Cost: Free

Join The Society for the Advancement of Social Studies for a night of seriously un-serious art history lectures plus booze at the Brooklyn Museum!

This year’s theme is “The Art of Amusement,” and is inspired by the Brooklyn Museum’s current exhibition: “Coney Island: Visions of an American Dreamland, 1861 – 2008.”

The evening’s lectures are:
* Collecting Culture: The History of Souvenirs in America
* Carnival Cuisine
* Early Amusement Parks

For those of you who enjoy making art as much as looking at it, they’ll have an Instagram art contest with chances to win fun prizes.

Admission is 100% free and the whole Brooklyn Museum is open until 10pm! Plus there’s a cash bar!
