This February First Friday at the Loom has special significance for Better Than Jam Handmade Co-Op: Bushwick’s best place to scope and score local indie designer wares is set to celebrate its first year anniversary.  “We are so excited to celebrate our first anniversary, and we are thrilled that local rock trio Photon Dynamo and the Shiny Pieces will be returning to perform, along with DJ Digiwiz, Stoned Tone, and Velvet Pony,” said Karin Persan, owner of Better Than Jam. “The traditional first anniversary gift is paper, so we will have some crafty projects set up for our guests.”

First Friday at the Loom is a monthly event where guests can mingle with the designers of Better Than Jam, sip on complimentary beverages, and see artwork from local artists.  This month Adam Carnes will be installing his paintings.  Better Than Jam will be having an anniversary sale, as well as a few special gifts for select customers.  With every purchase shoppers will be entered into our raffle to win a Better Than Jam gift certificate.

Also at the Loom for First Friday: The closing reception for the Prism Art Exhibition, displayed in the lobby of the Loom; Bushwick Print Labs will demonstrate silk screening to guests who bring an old tshirt; And the Fabulous Miss Fleury Rose will do nails at Tomahawk Salon, where you can get specials on hair stylings.
