The Brooklyn Library continues its celebration of Black History Month with a free movie screening of American Pioneers.

Two short films featuring African American pioneers. Willa Beatrice Brown: An American Aviator documents the life of the first African American woman to be a licensed pilot and whose advocacy of racial integration in the Army Air Corp led to the formation of the Tuskegee Airmen. A Child Shall Lead Them recounts the story of the 11 first-grade children sent to desegregated Nashville Public Schools in 1957.
