Did you ever wonder about the process of writing a play? Then you should join Castillo Theatre for a conversation.and reception this Sunday. The Young Playwrights From Castillo Festival features plays written by graduates of the Youth Onstage! Community Performance School. Unlike most young playwrights being produced in the American theatre today, they are not products of the nation’s most prestigious universities. Instead, they hail from New York City’s poor and working class communities of color. How did these plays come into being and why does it matter that they’ve been written and produced?
