Join us for this free biweekly open mic for stories of sex, desire and romance. Put your name in the hat for a chance to tell your own story. Confess, boast, titillate, break hearts . . . seven minutes at a time.

Foreplay! offers a chance for storytellers to get their stories warm before taking them to the money shot. Sets are seven minutes on any theme pertaining to sex, desire and romance. Each week features a special guest storyteller.

This week’s special guest: Üla Überbusen!

Jefferson is the curator and host of Foreplay! A sex educator and writer, Jefferson keeps a pseudonymous blog, One Life, Take Two, that details his life as a parent and pervert. He is a storyteller frequently seen on stages around the city and elsewhere, including The Moth, where he is a StorySlam winner. He is also host of Bare! True Stories of Sex, Desire and Romance, regularly in Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

“Beautiful Weirdo, Professional Shitshow” Üla Überbusen is an award winning burlesque performer, emcee, ukulele strummer, teacher and professional actress based in New York City. She produces and hosts Victrola Burlesque, Tainted Cabaret at The Slipper Room, and the Mason Dixie Burlesque Tour. When not on stage performing theater and burlesque, she teaches her Storytelling through Burlesque workshops to aspiring performers. Üla holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Miami and studied with the Shakespeare Theater Company and the New York School of Burlesque.
