The Brooklyn Library is hosting a Free movie screening of The Fate of a Man this Tuesday.

This 1959 Soviet feature film tells the story of a man (Andrey Sokolov) whose life was ruthlessly crippled by World War II. His wife and daughter were killed during the bombing of his village, he spent some time as a prisoner and his only son was killed in action only a few days before the victory. In Russian with English subtitles. The film will be introduced by a representative of the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the UN.
