Well the Manhattan Sewing Machine Center is seeking artists in all mediums for charity event in August 2010, ‘Little Clutch, Big Cause’

The Design Collective for the Fashion Arts and Art Shmart are looking for artists to design/construct clutches to be sold at an art education charity event–all proceeds go to St Peter’s Music and Arts (Smarts) In exchange for you time and art(clutch purse) they will teach you how to sew your design together for free!

The Design Collective for the Fashion Arts (DCFA) is hosting free class sessions to help you construct your clutch purse design.

You do not need to be a fashion or accessory designer– they are looking for people with a good eye. The pattern for the clutch is basic and will be provided. You will be choosing the materials and they will discuss embellishments and prints.

The  event:
your clutch will be sold at a silent auction on August 20, 2010at The Delancey bar rooftop. Everyone who participates is encouraged to come, network, and promote your art, or just come and have a good time.
