“Hot Pot Brooklyn presents 7 Sundays, a multiform art and performance benefit series at Littlefield in Gowanus, Brooklyn. For seven Sundays beginning July 12 through August 23, the series will host a diverse mix of art, music and performance. Live musical talent includes Erin & Her Cello, The Woes, DJ Frenetik and sitar-stylist Dawoud. 7 Sundays will also feature local DJs, fashion shows, photography, short films, Nintendo Wii battles, an ‘Art-Of'” timed competition for new media artists, and performance art ranging from dirty balloon sculptures and Capoeira to stand-up comedy by Scout Durwood of Mighty Little Productions.” More details after the jump.

“Each event is free and all received donations go towards building Hot Pot—a cubicle-free, communal work + play creation space for independents and freelancers in the downtown Brooklyn area. 7 Sundays is family- and small dog-friendly, and Hot Pot will provide free BBQ and yummy eats at each event with occasional guest chefs including Josie Smith-Malave of Top Chef fame. This weekend, on July 12th, 7 Sundays kicks off with DJ Carpetbagger (Fanny Pack), Wii battles and the Found Art Auction.
