This Wednesday the Kings County Cinema Society will be at Legion Bar in Williamsburg as they host an early(ish) screening of the recent acclaimed recent documentary on William Kuntsler.

William Kuntsler: Disturbing the Universe (2009, 85min) is Sarah and Emily Kuntsler’s compelling portrait of their father, one of the most significant litigators of the 20th century and the man The NY Times called “the most hated and most loved lawyer in America.”  Kuntsler fought for civil rights with Martin Luther King Jr. and represented the “Chicago 8″ activists; defended the inmates at Attica prison and the American Indian Movement at Wounded Knee.  “This powerful and revelatory doc recounts the historic causes Kuntsler fought for and reveals the man that even his own daughters didn’t understand; a man who risked public outrage and the safety of his family so that justice could serve all.”
