This Wednesday at Littlefield, Kings County Cinema Society presents Wild Zero (2000, 98min), jet rock ‘n’ roll movie from Japan, directed by Tetsuro Takeuchi. Japanese punk rock legends Guitar Wolf (Bass Wolf, Guitar Wolf, Drum Wolf) battle crazed fans, alien invasions, and armies of of the undead, all while helping #1 fan Ace court the love of his dreams… even though she has a penis. A zombie-horror-comedy-musical-romance cult classic. Quite possibly the midnight movie of the decade… but we’re starting it at 8pm so you can stay for some music afterward.

Film followed immediately by local acts Worst Case Ontario & Ghost Ghost:

9:30 –Worst Case Ontario, an NYC indie outfit, plays antagonistic sludge rock. Messy, noisy rock in the vein of Nada Surf, Spoon and I Am Kloot.

10:30 -Lower East Side trio Ghost Ghost deftly swings between styles and somehow manages to own each one… a cross between Fugazi and ‘Thunder Road’ era Bruce Springsteen. The band will be joined onstage by Brooklyn painter Charlie Kemmerer, who will complete a live painting within the set.

Sick, twisted, ambient visuals up front while you drink. Happy hour prices on drinks till 8. Free popcorn all night!!
