Kings County Cinema Society is proud to present the Brooklyn Premiere of What Would Jesus Buy? The activist, prankster and preacher Reverend Billy Talen is running for NYC mayor on the Green Party ticket, and to celebrate the Reverend’s tireless campaign to bring back the city’s neighborhoods, stop runaway overdevelopment, and deliver us from the evil of relentless consumerism, KCCS is presenting his 2007 documentary What Would Jesus Buy? Join Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping as they travel cross county during the holiday season and try to get Americans out of the mall and into the true spirit of the holidays.

Special appearance by members of the Church of Life After Shopping. Stick around and learn about Billy’s history of activism in the city and his bid for NYC mayor. ings County Cinema Society is an informal group dedicated to the unbiased love of film and the moving image.
