A Letter from the Youth Channel:
Dear NYC Community:

I am happy to write to you from the Youth Channel at Manhattan Neighborhood Network during this epic time in our country when hope and change is in the air. For nine years, the Youth Channel has been motivating, inspiring and encouraging youth from all walks of life, fostering dialogue and encouraging social participation through a quality media forum.

I am writing to you today to invite you to our 2009 Annual Summer Film Screening. This year we are proud to be holding the event at the Target East Harlem Community Garden. At the garden, youth, parents and educators will have the opportunity to watch the student productions, co-produced by the Youth Channel and by youth from our 2009 community partners. Some of the evening highlights include shorts from the Junior Scholars at the Schomburg Center, the NYC Coalition For a Smoke-Free City ,Youth Channel Interns and videos from our Y. M.I.C. in-house training program.

Please join us as we share this special moment with the students as they see themselves and their accomplishments on the big screen! The event will take place on June 11 at 415-417 East 117th. Street. The venue will open at 6pm and the film screening will begin at 7pm.
