Join the New Amsterdam Market for their first annual East River Moon Festival. The festival introduces market-goers to the traditional Mid-Autumn Harvest celebrations that take place throughout East Asia on the full moon day of the eighth month of the Chinese lunar calendar.

Traditional Lion Dance Performance with New York City Council Member Margaret Chin

11am – 4pm
Special Asian-inspired market fare prepared by guest chefs and New Amsterdam Market Vendors including Chef Simpson Wong from Wong and Wasan. Banh Mi from Brooklyn Cured, Tom Kha Gai from Home by the Range, Bulgogi from Black Tree Sandwich.

11am – 4pm
Paper lantern making for children with the Museum of the Chinese in America

1pm – 3pm
Dumpling making demonstration with chef Wai Hon Chu from Wholefoods Culinary Center

6pm – 8pm
Lantern Lighting Gathering with free refreshments, moon cake and red paper lanterns on the East River!
