Come out to Brooklyn For Target’s First Saturday’s at The Brooklyn Museum. Check out all of the great exhibits and the awesome party later at night. Owing to limited capacity, some programs require tickets. Free tickets are available for selected events. Please note ticket distribution times above. Members may pick up tickets from the Membership Desk beginning at 2 p.m. while supplies last. Programs subject to change without notice.Free general admission and $4 parking (flat rate), 5–11 p.m. Museum galleries are open until 11 p.m. Cash bar, food concessions, and Shop open until 11 p.m.

5–7 p.m. Music
Rubin Pavilion, 1st Floor
A.D.M (Architects + Demolition Men) was influenced by the hard-core punk of Washington, D.C.’s Bad Brains and the musical hip-hop of The Roots. A.D.M. features an energetic mix of vocalists, percussion, horn, guitar, bass, and piano.

5–10:30 p.m. Object of the Month
Luce Visible Storage and Study Center, 5th Floor
Brooklynites and Brooklyn-lovers sure do like their bicycles! Bicycles connect us to our friends, our work, and the things we love to do, making them true agents of the community. Examine Benjamin G. Bowden’s Spacelander Bicycle with the help of a Looking Closer guide.

5:30 p.m. Comedy Performance
Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium, 3rd Floor
Plus-size comedian Erica Watson’s solo performance Fat B! explores cultural stereotypes and obsessions surrounding weight, race, and class, specifically looking at the perception of black women’s bodies in society. Please note: This performance contains adult material. Free tickets (330) available at the Visitor Center at 5 p.m.

6 p.m. Curator Talk
Asian Galleries, 2nd Floor
Joan Cummings, Lisa and Bernard Selz Curator of Asian Art, presents a talk on fertility and abundance in the arts of India and China. Both countries have long traditions of using the arts as a means of attracting good luck and ensuring big, healthy families. In a walk through the Asian Galleries, visitors will learn about objects that were used to promote fertility, wealth, and happiness. Free tickets (30) available at the Visitor Center at 5 p.m.

6:30–8:30 p.m. Hands-On Art
Education Gallery, 1st Floor
Freestyle painting! Brush, smear, daub, and splatter paint onto canvas to create an abstract work of art. Free timed tickets (380) available at the Visitor Center at 5:30 p.m.

7 p.m. Film
Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium, 3rd Floor
Created by filmmaker Mike Vargas and multimedia artist Moni Pineda, Friends We Love profiles artists and their creative processes, inspirations, and passions. This film screening will be a collection of short documentaries by Friends We Love artists. Free tickets (330) available at the Visitor Center at 6 p.m.

7 p.m. Artist Talk
Projects Gallery, 5th Floor
Join Work of Art winner Abdi Farah for an intimate discussion about his working process, his experiences on the show, and his special exhibition here at the Brooklyn Museum. Free (30) tickets available at the Visitor Center at 6 p.m.

8–10 p.m. Dance Party
Beaux-Arts Court, 3rd Floor
DJ Herbert Holler, resident DJ of The Freedom Party, presents a mix of mix of soul, soul, disco, hip-hop, house, reggae, 80s R&B, 90s R&B and club classics.

9 p.m. Book Club
American Identities, 5th Floor
Lee Houck’s debut novel, Yield, is an unsentimental look at internal struggle in the midst of fast-paced urban life.
