RAIN OR SHINE! Come Out & Play in NYC June 12-14, 2009

RAIN OR SHINE!!! Come Out & Play will transform New York City into a playground once again! The annual festival runs this summer during the weekend of June 12-14. The Tank, a wonderful non-profit arts space, plays host and serves as our central headquarters.

This year – our fourth! – will be like the last three years only better, thanks in part to our amazing lineup of partners. The cream of the locative gaming crop are converging in NYC to run their very best games (more than ever!) in Times Square, Central Park, Hell’s Kitchen, and Pier 84; there will be awesome parties on Friday and Saturday night with games, booze, and prizes; we’re giving out awards to the best games at a special ceremony on Sunday; and there will be a titillating panel discussion on Saturday morning about the intersections of geography and urban gaming.
