8PM Film Screening of “MY BROOKLYN” followed by 1 hour Q & A.

After winning the Audience Award at last year’s Brooklyn Film Festival, MY BROOKLYN went on to screen at festivals around the world and make headlines with three weeks of sold-out theatrical screenings at ReRun Theater in DUMBO. The filmmakers garnered a great deal of attention for how well the film has connected with audiences, utilized grassroots connections and for its independent theatrical release. Variety wrote that the feature-length documentary is “filled with colorful, articulate neighborhood champions,” and “this absorbing pic eschews militant outrage for a quietly devastating look at social commodification.”

Cosponsored by the Fifth Avenue Committee.
