The Annual Martin Luther King concert series starts off Monday with a bang when beautiful R&B siren Keyshia Cole and R&B folksy singer Lyfe Jennings visit Wingate Park in East Flatbush, Brooklyn.
Keyshia Cole is known for her contemporary ballads like “Sent from Heaven” and also uptempo club anthems like “Shoulda let you go.” There’s a picture of sexy of Ms. Cole to your right.
Lyfe Jennings will also perform. Lyfe learned the joys of music while in the midst of the misery of prison. He’s as musical talented as his back story is. Lyfe’s big hits include, “Must be nice”, and “Never, Never, Land.”

This is the beginning of the free concert series in Wingate Park. There’s a boatload of talent to be found at Wingate this summer every monday night at 7:30pm until August 24. Robin Thicke, Anita Baker, The O’jays, Jazmine Sullivan, Sean Paul, Teena Marie and Yolanda Adams are just some of the names that highlight this year’s concert series. Transportation is easy just take the 2 train to Winthrop st. and walk about 4-5 blocks east to Brooklyn Ave. Actually you’ll see people amassing at New York Ave. The concerts are across the street (northbound) of Kings County Hospital.

Oh a quick word to the wise if your thinking about sneaking in some drinks. Security is tight and they check bags and sometimes even bottles. They will kick you out with the quickness.
