It’s 80’s dance musical night at the Knit with resident movie hecklers, the Raspberry Brothers.
First, it’s Flashdance. Cut up that sweatshirt and get ready to bust out these immortal lyrics- She’s a maniac, maniac on the floor! You will laugh your ass off as the Raspberry Brothers slap jokes over Jennifer Beals like cheddar on a grilled burger. Beals plays Alex, a welder by day and stripper by night, who dreams of being a ballet star…in Pittsburgh. If you dare re-enact the famous water bucket scene, you may just earn yourself a few free drinks…what a feeling!
Then, it’s time for some Dirty Dancing. Starring a pre-nose-job Jennifer Grey (Ferris Bueller) and a testosterone-laden Swayze (Red Dawn, Point Break), this sizzlingly cheesy tale of love and dance may be the ultimate movie designed the Raspberry treatment. Grey is adorable as Baby, an idealistic young Jewish princess, and Swayze is at his ridiculous best as the macho dance instructor from the wrong side of the tracks. Nobody puts Baby in a corner.
