Dworkin, a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy and the University of Michigan (B.B. and M.M). A violinist himself, he founded the organization to help overcome the cultural stereotype of classical music, and to encourage the participation of Blacks and Latinos in the field.

Council Member Dickens, Congressman Rangel, the Sphinx Organization and Community Works at the Dwyer Cultural Center are supporting Haitian relief efforts. Representatives from UNICEF will be collecting donations on behalf of the children of Haiti at this event.

There is no cost for admission but RSVP is required. Call to RSVP: 212-459-1854 or email dwyercc@dwyercc.org
