Often throughout history, disasters that shatter a way of life can give rise to the creating of extraordinary communities by ordinary people. The City Lights/Youth Onstage! co-production of John Steinbeck’s The Grapes of Wrath features a young cast giving life to a one such classic story of people and families learning to create a new community when theirs is torn apart.

Join Castillo Theatre for a discussion with a diverse group of artists as they take a look at how people around the world-in the past and today-have attempted to create new worlds from the ruins of old ones.
