After last year’s run in lower Manhattan, CALNDAR (DJ Raydar Ellis & Cali Green) teams up with The Elixir Media Group to bring NYC’s fresh new Hip-Hop party series uptown to Harlem Nights on Friday, September 30th (immediately following Uptown Soul Lounge (FREE SHOW) w/ Kelby, Isa, & Kola Rai)! Come dance and drink, as we celebrate the music of some of Hip Hop’s greatest collectives from the ’90s and beyond, such as The Dungeon Familyy (OutkastGoodie Mob, etc.), The Native Tongues(ATCQ, De La Soul, etc.), Bad Boy (BiggieP Diddy, etc.), Death Row (Tupac, Snoop Dogg, etc.), G.O.O.D. Music, and more.

Come out for the launch of the BLOCKS NYC Greenwich Village Coloring Book on October 15th at the Lomography Gallery Store NYC (41 West 8th Street) from 5-8pm!

City BLOCKS Culture Collective explores and celebrates the architecture of neighborhoods throughout great cities, and showcases how historical landmarks have evolved and become part of the cultural landscape.

This year, they’re exploring Greenwich Village with a coloring book that celebrates the rich musical history of the 60’s and 70’s folk rock scene.

The BLOCKS NYC Coloring Book includes artist-illustrated pullout coloring pages of album covers that played a critical role in the 60’s and 70’s folk and rock scene in Greenwich Village, iconic buildings of musician’s haunts and studios, as well as some personal sketch and journal pages. Each page has an illustration by artist David Setrakian on the front and a story about the neighborhood on the back.

Join them for a free walking tour of 60’s/70’s Greenwich Village folk scene with Bob Egan of PopSpots! This will be a one hour fun and informative tour of the coolest spots where musicians played and lived in one of the most important scenes in music.


LOCATION: Please meet under the Washington Square Arch on Saturday October 15 at 3:45pm
The tour will start at 4pm promptly and will end at The Lomography Gallery Store for the launch of the coloring book! Drinks and light snack will be available.
