HEAD ON: CUT COPY VS. LCD SOUNDSYSTEM

When: Friday, November 15, 2013
Time: 10PM – Late
Where: The Bell House
149 7th Street,
Brooklyn, NY 11215
Cost:Free (21 and over event)

Cut Copy. LCD Soundsystem. Two of our favorite indie dance acts. We decided it’s high time someone put them to the test. One band writes sun-drenched danceable pop that make you feel like you’re living in a montage, and is riding on the crest of a brand new album that we love, resting on a bed of albums we’ve loved for years. The other is as classic and wide-ranging as it gets in danceable indie rock, and the only thing that ever could have stopped them was themselves.

So this month at Head On we’ll pit them against one another. Our DJs Brian Blackout and Spoolwork will each square off with armloads of songs by each band, and we’ll pit them head to head and you’ll decide who wins by dancing, yelling, and going as nuts as you can. And then we’ll spend the rest of the night dancing to the winner and more of our indie faves.

About Andrew McDonald

Andrew McDonald is not a billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. He actually works way too many jobs, but he started The Review Zoo and helps at Living Free NYC because he had an opinion he wanted to share and a party he wanted to find. He found people equally opinionated to join him and cool ass place to go through Danielle. Currently he is working on a web series and a comic book.
