Come out to Brooklyn For Target’s First Saturday’s at The Brooklyn Museum. Check out all of the great exhibits and the awesome party later at night. Owing to limited capacity, some programs require tickets. Free tickets are available for selected events. Please note ticket distribution times above. Members may pick up tickets from the Membership Desk beginning at 2 p.m. while supplies last. Programs subject to change without notice. Free general admission and $4 parking (flat rate), 5–11 p.m. Museum galleries are open until 11 p.m. Cash bar, food concessions, and Shop open until 11 p.m.

5:30–6:30 p.m. Dance
Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium, 3rd Floor
ABAKUÁ Afro-Latin Dance Company blends elements of mambo, funk, and Afro-Caribbean dance. Free tickets (330) available at the Visitor Center at 5 p.m.

6–8 p.m. Music and Dance Lesson
Rubin Pavilion, 1st Floor
Jerry Hernandez y La Orquesta Dee Jay host a salsa party. A salsa lesson by dancers Farrah Benoit and Franklin Liranzo precedes the program at 5 p.m.

6 p.m. Performance
Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, Forum, 4th Floor
Actress, playwright, and performance artist Carmelita Tropicana performs excerpts from original works. Free tickets (30) available at the Visitor Center at 5:30 p.m.

6:30–8:30 p.m. Hands-on Art
Education Gallery, 1st Floor
Create a collage that reflects on your past and present and imagines your future. Free tickets (380) available at the Visitor Center at 5:30 p.m.

7 p.m. Curator Talk
Morris A. and Meyer Schapiro Wing, Cantor Gallery, 5th Floor

Curator of Contemporary Art Eugenie Tsai on Sanford Biggers: Sweet Funk—An Introspective. Free tickets (30) available at the Visitor Center at 6 p.m.

7–8:30 p.m. Film and Artist Talk

HBO documentary The Latino List (Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, 2011) explores the lives of the Latino Americans featured in special exhibition Timothy Greenfield-Sanders: The Latino List. Following the screening, Greenfield-Sanders discusses his work. Free tickets (330) available at the Visitor Center at 6 p.m.

8–10 p.m. Dance Party
Beaux-Arts Court, 3rd Floor
DJ Bobbito Garcia a.k.a Kool Bob Love spins Latin, Afro-beat, progressive hip-hop, and more.

All galleries open. Explore the Museum.
