On Saturday, April 17, 2010, the City of New York Parks & Recreation and the Walt Disney Company will host the 3rd annual Street Games at Thomas Jefferson Park in Harlem.

Street Games brings back the classic street games from the ’60s and ’70s and reintroduces them to a new generation with a modern twist! Pogo sticks, double-dutch, hula hoops, and yo-yos are just some of the activities that you and your family can try out to the sound of Motown, Rock N Roll, and Soul.

This year’s event will also feature skate boarding clinics and a Bringing Classic Back Art Competition to celebrate the essence of events, people, and activities in New York City during the 1960s and 1970s. To register for the Bringing Classic Back Art Competition, call (212) 360-1319 or complete the online form in the Registration section of the Bringing Classic Back Art Competition details page.

With multiple venues throughout the event, there will be something for everyone to enjoy! For more info click here.
