Beginning October 14th, from 6:30-8 PM, The Dance Theatre of Harlem will be offering free performances with limited seating that will continue every Thursday through November 4, 2010. The events will be comprised of 90 minute open rehearsals, providing patrons with rare views of ballet works in progress, as well as panel discussions, and a chance to speak with choreographers, historians and dancers during a wine and cheese reception following each event. These open rehearsals provide a rare and unique opportunity for patrons to get an inside look at how a ballet is made. The first Harlem Dance Works event, entitled “For Two” is inspired by the ballet term “Pas de deux”, meaning dance for two and will showcase three such works in progress. Event seating is limited, email your name and phone number to rsvp@dancetheatreofharlem.org to reserve your seats today!
