About Alpha Rev:

Hollywood Records’ newest signing Alpha Rev will lead into their much anticipated album release with a solid week of tour dates across the Northeastern United States. The April 27th release of New Morning will be prefaced by a 7-stop stint, working through New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania amongst others, before capping the road-burning week in Rhode Island. Austin-based Alpha Rev will take to the stage with rock veterans Third Eye Blind.

Led by singer and lyricist Casey McPherson, Alpha Rev makes its major label album debut with “New Morning”, which was produced by David Kahne (Paul McCartney, Sublime, The Strokes) and will arrive in stores and at online retailers on April 27th. Composed of McPherson, along with Derek Dunivan (guitar), Tommy Roalson (drums), Dave Wiley (cello), Alex Dunlap (bass), Brian Batch (violin) and Derek Morris (keyboards), Alpha Rev formed in 2005 and their songs have been featured in various television series including Melrose Place, Bravo’s NYC Prep and ongoing spots on the new ABC show Greek. They recently worked with acclaimed director Mark Pellington (Arlington Road, Mothman Prophecies) on the video for their debut single and title track “New Morning” which you can view here: http://mergefilms.com/nathan/New_Morning.mov

The singles “New Morning” is building well at AAA Radio, going *28-*26 this week and notching big adds every week, including recently WRXP New York, KGSR Austin, and KBCO Boulder. Things are kicking into high gear next month when the VH1 “You Oughta Know” promo breaks two weeks before the album’s release.
